PRP FACE

PRP Face or Vampire treatment is a way to improve your appearance without any surgical procedures. This has of course made PRP treatments a big news in the beauty market. PRP is an abbreviation for Platelet Rich Plasma and means that through bio-rejuvenating cell technology, which through growth factors in our platelets stimulates the skin's cell rejuvenation and production of collagen and elastic fibres.

With a PRP treatment on the face, the face is revitalised and the cells are renewed. This may be if you have any of the following:

  • Tired or sagging skin
  • Poor or dry skin tone
  • signs of ageing in the skin such as folds, wrinkles, or reduced skin density

If you recognise any of the above points, PRP may be for you. PRP is a natural and effective beauty treatment that results in younger, smoother and more elastic skin. A natural skin rejuvenation!

HOW DOES THE PRP WORK?

Our blood contains platelets, which together with the blood contain red and white blood cells and plasma. Platelets contain a variety of proteins that act as growth factors for the body's cells and tissues.

The platelet concentrate together with the blood plasma injected with small thin needles into the tissue of the skin. When activated, the platelets come into contact with the tissue and release growth factors. The growth factors stimulate, among other things, stem cells, which in turn lead to the rebuilding and strengthening of the tissue. In the treated area, blood circulation increases and this leads to better oxygenation and increased nutrient supply.

CONSULTATION AND TREATMENT

During a consultation with us, we give you thorough information about the treatment and we also look at your past and present medical history, as well as whether you are taking any medications or supplements. Based on the doctor's judgement, it can be determined whether PRP facial treatment is suitable for you and what results you can expect. People with SLE, porphyria, allergies, cancer, blood disorders, severe metabolic and systemic diseases, haemophilia or suspected sepsis should not be treated with PRP.

The treatment is carried out by taking a certain amount of blood from the patient, as in a normal blood test. The plasma and platelets are then separated from the blood by centrifugation and placed in sterile tubes with a stabilising factor where they are activated.

The platelets are then injected into the tissue and you may feel a little sore around the area after the treatment.

Treatment time ranges from 30-90 minutes depending on the extent of the treatment.

THE RESULT OF YOUR PRP FACIAL TREATMENT

The result of your PRP treatment is a visibly younger skin with fewer wrinkles and increased elasticity, the factors that play a role in how effective the treatment will be for you include your health status but also age, diet, smoking and your skin type.

Follow-up treatment is recommended to achieve the best results. This is done the first three times at one month intervals and then at least one treatment per year.

After your PRP treatment, slight redness, minor swelling and slight bruising are common at the injection sites. These disappear within a few days.
